Waiting

I kept waiting for you, 

Till the moon was at its apex :

My mind was chattering about you ;

So loud that i could hear it , 

My eyes were drowsy

But my heart wanted to wait more ;

In the hope that you would show up –

Even though my mind knew you would never ;

But still i choose to be deaf :

And kept on waiting 

Till the days and nights .
