Happily ever after part 5

She was now 22 and he was 24. He knew it was early but he wanted to get married desparately. She wanted to wait for 2-3 years more but he could not wait. He wanted to start next steps of his life with her.

One day he told his parents. She had no idea about it .

He thought he will surprise her by making her meet his parents.

They met in a hotel for lunch. His parents his sister his brother in law where there and all were waiting for her to come. She walked in wearing a very pretty suit and looked no less than an angel.

His mother and sister were super impressed with her. They hugged her and welcomed her into their family.

Next day she spoke to her parents whose happiness knew no bounds.

Few days later they all went to her city and their alliance got fixed. Engagement in next few weeks and marriage a year later.

It was just like a fairy wish coming true

Suddenly he started sweating and got up. Ohh he was dreaming.

His mother called and scolded him

His mother told him this was the age to focus on higher education career etc without any attachments, distraction, girls.

His mother instructed him to break all ties with her and move abroad for higher education.

This was not his age to get married and her tied with marital responsibilities.

He pleaded that he can do all that but need not break up with her.

His mother didn't listen at all and said that there should not be any deciding factor other than what's good for his career.

He couldn't believe his eyes and ears.

What would he tell her. She such a nice human being well be devastated and she might not believe anybody in future.

He still could not comprehend why he had to break up. They could still be in long distance relationship and work it out. But he could not argue with his mother. She was a strong independent lady who had many years of experienced career behind her.

He didn't know what to do. His whole happy life shattered into miniscule bits in front of him.

He couldn't eat drink relax or sleep

She had gone to her city hence she didn't call otherwise she would have seen this broken human being.

His manifestation skills stood helpless.

He wanted to scream shout cry out in despair.

She met him in office, he looked different, very different actually indifferent.

She couldn't make out anything but didn't want to probe in office. He messaged her to meet after office.

They went for dinner but unlike the food he was very cold in behaviour.

She asked and then he started sobbing. He told her everything each and every word. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

She couldn't control her emotions and she started crying. After few minutes she asked him ok so now what next. Should we just start behaving like strangers from this moment? Should we just forget everything, just use a duster and erase all the memories from these years?

He himself didn't know what he was supposed to do. What could he tell her. He wanted to tell her to wait for him for few years but he didn't. She was the only daughter of his parents and they would want her to be married soon. He didn't want to be selfish.

He got a call from his mother, she had submitted his application in an overseas University and he had got through. All visa tickets stay everything was arranged and he was to travel within the next 3 days. His parents were coming to town the next day to help him prepare.He was shocked.

He told her and she was on the verge of passing out. It was all so huge so gigantic so sudden and everything at once that she had no time to digest to absorb to come to terms with reality.

She felt suffocated she didn't want to look at his face, she returned the mobile which he had gifted and said i wish i could so easily return all the feelings love memories moments. Instead of making me happy, these will all haunt me.

Wishing him best of luck she stormed out hailed a taxi and went home.

She was unwell for the rest of the week she didn't want to see anyone she didn't talk to anyone except her parents whom she faced with a brave face.

They had no idea what their daughter was going through.

It took one week for her to finally step out of the house. It was not easy to come to terms with what happened last week. But she had to get a grip over her life and move on.

He didn't realise what happened. He was caught between his mother's ambitions and his love. It all happened so suddenly he had no time to sit or feel anything. His mother made him feel like a robot, his mother didn't utter a single word about her, his mother didn't enquire about her or for the matter of fact even about him.

His mother's main agenda was to somehow send him abroad asap which his mother eventually did.

He tried to call her many times but it was given that she didn't pick.

He boarded the flight with a heavy heart left the country with a broken heart, upset mind and a guilty soul. He knew that he could have handled it better. He was caught between his duties of a son and a lover.

He cursed God he cursed himself he cursed each and everything.

He just wanted her to be happy. He said sorry to her in his mind.

he wanted to punish himself hence he would move out of her life. He would not contact her at all.

He externally got busy with his studies exams getting used to new culture new people, blocking any advances towards him. The girls around him could not comprehend his behaviour.

She immersed herself in her work. No time for any personal stuff. She was titled the most workaholic employee and was appreciated awarded rewarded in every possible way. She was used to be happy outside was inside she was this unkempt mess which could not be cleaned at all. She still used to spend nights crying over the past, thinking how bright the future could have been.

Then thinking about her parents she would again put on her brave armour and face the world. Only comforting fact was that no body other than the two of them were aware of this. Hence there was no explaining no convincing.

She herself didn't know what happened why it happened and how it happened within such a short span of time.

She knew that her trust was broken and she would never fall in love again. SHE STILL LOVED HIM. HE STILL LOVED HER.

They would send birthday messages to each other via air via God.

Now she got the opportunity to go overseas for work. She immediately grabbed it as it would be a nice change for her.
