I remain the green in greenery
While you shine bright like the Sun, I look up to you
But you are so up in the sky
And I continue to remain
The same hopelessly hopeful green.
Lost among the other bright and dark shades of green
I stand exactly in between the bright and the dark
And you never notice me thus, no wonder
I remain the lost green
But you never know this green exists
Like the way I know the sun does.
