Amidst the darkness and amidst the lies,
Lies the devil silent and quiet-
Beaconing danger and causing destruction;
Is the intention as clear as light.
Stomping down on innocent lives
And possessing souls which guides them right;
Fulfil their desires and sins,
That’s their satisfaction and their bliss.
But how in a world between heaven and hell;
Where there was once a balance-
Now prevails sins?
Searching for truths behind every lie;
Brings no fruit but only cries.
Oh Lord! You promised to guide us
In times of darkness and peril;
The candle flickers in nighttime
As it awaits in silence that-
Your footsteps would curb the ‘shadows’
And bring ‘divine’.
