Why do you beg and plead for mercy when in the depths of your hearts, the roots of iniquity still flourish?
Why do you say sorry when you’re not a bowl of sorrow?
Why do you seek mercy when you’ve been merciless?
You speak remorse with your lips yet poison still begets in your bosom.
Why do tears leak from your eyes when your heart is woven with deceit?
Why lie when you can flee?
