I am science  teacher in government school. It was Makar Sankranti festival. Our principal madam asked me to tell students about the festival.

I said ” Dear students do you have idea which #dish name in India is used as metaphor also. ”Students didn’t have clue about #same. “

I gave many #hints to students. Some hints I am listings below for my esteem readers.

Dish is  high in #protein. It helps in healthy #weight loss. It helps in managing #blood sugar. It #detoxify body. It boost #immunity. It’s very light. It curbs #hunger. Dish is served with pickel, papar, ghee and curd.

I further said”students today is Makar Sankranti. People donate this above mentioned #dish today”

One student said” Madam this #dish is #khichdi. “

I said “right dear student”.On Makar sankranti kichari is offered to Lord shiva before serving family members. “

I futher said”this festival marks the transition of #Sun into #Capricorn. Dish khichdi is #distributed as symbol of harmony and diversity to everyone . Khichri has origin in #sanskrit word #khicca which translate to dish made of #rice and #pulses. Presently Indian government promote this #dish as “queen of all foods”.

Another student said”madam please let us know how khichdi is used as a #metaphor. ‘

I said ‘when ever there is mixture of #complex things. In India we ask or think what  #khichdi is being cooked. “

Another students said”once I had made khichdi of thoughts in mind. It was a complex situation. That made me sick. It took me months to come out of that khichdi. “

Moral – If one wishes to give rest to #stomach. It is highly recommended that one should eat #khichdi. Never make khichdi in #mind with negative thoughts. This will make one #sick.
