In this world as we are moving forward productivity is becoming more and more important and as we are now surrounded with technology productivity is becoming a really important art. So here is how I have built my very own productivity system and have changed my work and life.

What is a productivity system ?

Productivity system is like an personal assistant which you can have and it will definitely streamline your productivity. And the best part you are the one who create your own productivity system so you have full control over it and can customize it in whichever way you please. Well alright but why should you actually bother building a system. Well the simple answer to this is a quote by James Clear.

You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your system.

How do you Actually Build A Productivity System?

The productivity system I am going to teach you how to build is special because this can easily be accessed wherever you want if you are out of your usual workspace access it on your phone. If you prefer to be a minimalist than you can customize it in that way.

So Let’s start with how do you actually build a productivity system.

  1. First choose the main core of your productivity system -: This is going to be the most important part and you have to really consider the one you feel best with so I will give you some options here and reason why you should choose them – :
    • Notion -: This is the core I use because it just is the best according to me you can make this as minimalist as you want or absolutely block buster. Through out this article I will be using this but you can choose either of the below.
    • Trello -: Trello is a popular project management tool that uses boards, lists, and cards to help you organize tasks and workflows. It’s highly visual and customizable, making it easy to adapt to your preferred workflow.
    • Asana: Asana is another powerful project management platform that allows teams to plan, organize, and track their work in one place. It offers features such as task lists, kanban boards, and timeline views to help teams stay on top of their projects.
  2. Once you have chosen your preferred core it’s time to add features into it
    • First make a new page in Notion or whichever app you have chosen.
    • Add a heading or title on the page it can be whatever you want it can be your name or just “Dashboard”
    • One thing I would recommend is adding a quote in the start of the page. It can be any quote which you really like.
    •  Now first divide your life into sections so for me those section are
      • School
      • Work
      • Personal Life
      • Extra Things
    • Add your respective related things in School for me these are my homework assignment and whatever in my work I can add a doc for all my work related document. Personal Life can have a phone book. Extra things can be all my co-curricular activities and everything.
    • Once you have decided these things you can add colors to it and make it look appealing in whatever way you want.
  3. And that’s It you have pretty much completed your own productivity system now let’s add some more wheels into this
    • Create a todo list in your core or you could download any todo app whichever you prefer
    • Add a calendar -: one more good thing about notion is it has a calendar built into it so it makes this much more effective and seamless
    • Add a reading app or any other app which is related to your work.
  4. And now we are finally done you have completed your entire productivity system and now to make it accessible you can add widgets on your home screen by downloading the app of whatever your core system was. This is also good for notion as it has some really nice widgets.

Hopefully this was really helpful and if you liked this consider following me I post content on productivity and many more tips.
