1ST POEM

It’s celebration time, let’s groove to the music,

Chill and be ready for the magic.

That will sweep you off your feet,

Promise not to retreat.

From the past, make way to a new beginning,

To the tune of a new song, let’s start singing.

Hold no remorse or regret from the past,

Don’t let the burden of it overcast.

Embrace the future, welcome this new year,

With a smile and a mind that’s clear.

Revel in your own brightness,

Let it not fade even in unhappiness.

Fill your life with a breath of jubilation,

Even in despair, don’t dwell in desolation.

Come what may, promise yourself to be optimistic,

Don’t ruin life by being pessimistic.

This new year is the time to find oneself,

Explore and break the trap of illusionary shelf.

Within, see a divine light incarnate,

On this New year, may your darkness dissipate.

 2ND POEM

Don’t wish me on this new year’s night,

I’ll be drowning in beer, not seeing the light.

To forget your memories, I drink,

Grief has pushed me to the brink.

I won’t answer when you call,

I built a wall between us, strong and tall.

Unwrapping layers of passion, I flee,

Running away from its trapping, just to be free.

This new year you will witness a changed me

Walking away from you, I would be free

Today’s the last day I ponder on you,

Detaching myself, bidding our memories adieu.

Be happy where ever you are

I bless you with love from afar

Let’s avoid crossing paths this new year,

Without each other, we learn to celebrate, my dear.

3RD POEM

Last year, I vowed to break my old routine, a necessary shear
Habits held tight, in a relentless fight
They clung and won
‘Old habits die hard,’ a persisted song they have sung

This New year no self-promises, just a wish for catharsis

A plea to the sky daddy, up high,
Take a shot at me, from the cosmic sky.
Shift life’s course, with your divine force
Shower me with happy surprises, and gifts in guises

 4TH POEM

New year, a time for reflection and introspection,

Resolutions and self-promises find their manifestation.

Last year’s commitment to change hung in the air,

Habits persisted, life’s course seemed unfair.

A year rolled by, habits clung with tenacity,

Regret? Meh, a subtle complexity

Life unfolds beyond our scripted plans,

Runs own course, defying our determined stands.

One might ask, am I not to blame?

Aren’t habits within my own domain?

Yes, and no! A struggle not everyone perceives,

Hard at times, change won’t happen with ease

Judgment comes easy, challenging to empathize

Not everybody can grasp or analyze

It’s no one’s right to condemn without care,

Empathy’s the key, a sentiment rare.

Yet, here I stand, on the brink of a new dawn,

A different resolution, seeds of change I’ve thrown

Hope pulsates, anticipating change,

Wishing this New Year, for life to rearrange
