Welcome to my deep dark mind,
A place filled with demons of every kind.
Proceed with caution, for it’s no easy ride,
An endless arcade where they all reside.
It’s scary and exhausting to carry their weight,
My soul is dragged down with every debate.
But I cannot escape, for they are my fate,
Bound to their torment, this is my state.
If you promise not to reveal,
I’ll show you one closed area that’s real.
It’s where angels run to hide,
From the demons that lurk outside.
Beautiful, caring, and confident they are,
A stark contrast to the demons’ scar.
But they too, are not immune,
To the torture the demons continually resume.
Some are lucky and manage to flee,
But others, are not so lucky, you see.
Intentionally drowned, they meet their end,
No longer able to defend.
I’m sorry to say, it’s a life that must end,
For the demons want me dead, they’ll never bend.
So there will come a day when I cannot stay,
In this deep dark mind, I’ll no longer play.
