I am teaching in school. School has alumni Association. Every year school has alumni Association function. It’s a real pleasure to see our students doing so well in life and contributing in positive way to society and nation.Â
I met my student Krishna in alumni function of school. She is teaching science in government school. She has child Suresh studying in eight standard. Krishna said” Madam my son Suresh is so much screen dependt and I am finding difficult to make him balance screen and off screen life. “I said”Krishna children habbits don’t change over night. Kindly be patient. Instead of showing anger please be suggestive. Make Suresh do some outdoor activities. For implementing same parents also have to come out of their comfort zone. As parents you also spend some time with Suresh.Â
More time off screen is key to child’s development.Spend quality time with him. Take him to science museum etc. if possible. If Suresh Is taking outsidd help in subject please supervise his work in friendly way.Â
Krishna was so happy to find solution of her son’s problem in my suggestions. She said”thanks madam for help I will try all suggested little tricks and will talk to you for further advise on phone. “
I am so happy, after one month I received dear Krishna phone call she said” Madam Suresh is improving and he is very happy that his parents are helping him instead of being angary”
Moral of story. -please do respect ful parenting. Please respect child’s passion and give child room to develop his/her passion and creativity.Â
