Saloni opened her Facebook account today after several days. She had kept her smartphone aside due to exams. When she logged in, she noticed that she had 35-40 pending friend requests. She started to look at everyone’s profiles with curiosity.
Among those requests, one from a guy named Raj Sharma caught her attention. Raj’s profile picture showed him as smart and handsome. Saloni found his romantic poetry and posts impressive. She accepted Raj’s request, and soon after, she received a message from him.
The message read, “Thank you very much.” Saloni understood the reason but replied with a smiley sticker, asking, “Thanks for what?” Raj’s quick response, “For accepting my request,” made her smile.
Saloni wanted to know more about Raj and shared a brief introduction. Raj, in turn, mentioned that he was pursuing an M.B.A. and would soon have a job. This marked the beginning of their chatting journey.
Saloni couldn’t wait for Raj’s messages and eagerly checked her inbox daily. However, she was cautious not to reveal too much about herself too soon. After several days of chatting, Raj suggested they meet in person. Saloni also wanted to meet him but was a bit hesitant.
She explained, “I think we should meet to get to know each other better.” Raj agreed, “Okay, we should meet. Tell me when and where.” They set a date to meet at a quiet park.
On the day of the meeting, Saloni arrived at the park and waited for Raj. When he appeared, she was pleasantly surprised by his looks and charisma. As they approached each other, they were about to exchange greetings when a stranger intervened. Saloni was startled as the stranger’s grip tightened.
Quickly, another man rushed on to the drivers seat, starting the engine, which began to move away with Saloni inside. Raj, who had masterminded the whole setup, laughed and said, “Wow, today you’ve cleaned up the loot. Shabnam Bano will reward you well.”
As Saloni sat stunned, Raj said, “What a wonderful experience! Today, you’ve truly captured a valuable treasure.”
