    The Crocodile’s Courageous Splash

I’ll get started on the illustration now. It might take a moment!
In a land of sun and sand,
    Lived a croc, quite grand.
    But oh, what a plight,
    He feared water at night!
With scales so green and bright,
    He’d shiver at the sight,
    Of rivers, lakes, and streams,
    They haunted all his dreams.
“Swim?” he’d say with a grin,
    “Not me, I can’t begin!”
    He’d rather dance on land,
With a top hat in hand.
His friends, they laughed and cheered,
For a croc who never neared,
    The water’s edge, so blue,
    He’d bid it all adieu.
One day a frog named Fred,
    Hopped up and simply said,
“Dear croc, you must be brave,
    The water’s not a grave!”
With a gulp and a sigh,
The croc gave it a try,
He dipped a toe, then two,
And swam the whole pond through!
    Now he swims with glee,
    In rivers wide and free,
A croc who faced his fear,
    And found his courage
