Sandstorm Storms over the desert, Two tribes, The Desert Hawks and the Sand Serpents fought fiercely, very much on land about the only water oasis that would be quenched in miles. The old history of bloodshed, This time around, it is a matter of survival.
A healer from the Hawks, Layla, secretly treated a wounded warrior from the Serpent tribe. In them, the spark of an unlikely friendship ignited, speaking little. They both came to realize that the economies and concerns of their tribes were not totally different. They hatched a plan so audacious: to negotiate a truce by uniting their leaders at the oasis.
The scheme nearly failed when hard-line extremists of either side stormed down the meeting. Layla and her ally give their lives to protect the leaders, thus proving that peace can be achieved.
The oasis was eventually shared by the tribes, but the sands bore the scars of those who fell on behalf of unity. Layla became the personification of hope, etched in time and whispered to the winds of the desert.
