Sam was a little squirrel who lived in a Forest. Like most young squirrels, he loved to climb trees, gather seeds and nuts, and play with his friends. But one day, Sam found something shiny and strange near the edge of the forest. It was a mobile phone.
When Sam pressed the button, he discovered that it showed moving pictures of exciting places, exciting games, and funny videos of other animals. Sam was thrilled! “I don’t need to climb trees or play with seeds and pebbles anymore,” he thought.
From that day, Sam spent all his time watching pictures on the mobile phone . He watched shows about squirrels racing, played games where he could jump higher than any real squirrel, and laughed at silly animal clips. At first, it seemed amazing.
But as days passed, Sam noticed a few things. His eyes felt heavy and itchy. He didn’t run as fast as he used to when he joined his friends for a race. He had stopped noticing the beauty of the forest ,the green leaves, the sweet chirping of birds, and the warm sunlight of the sun.
One day, Sam’s best friend,Johny the rabbit, visited him. “Sam, why don’t you play with us anymore? We miss you!”
“I’m too busy with my mobile phone Johnny,” Sam replied, not even looking up.
Johnny was surprised. “Mobile phone? What’s so special about it?”
“It shows me amazing things, Johnny! It’s better than playing in the forest.”
Johnny thought for a moment and then said, “Why don’t we try a race like old times? I bet I can beat you now!”
Sam hesitated but agreed. When the race started, Sam realized just how slow and tired he had become. Johnny ran ahead while Sam struggled to keep up. He slipped over a root and tumbled into the grass.
“Are you okay, Sam?” Johnny asked, helping him up.
Sam nodded, but he felt embarrassed. “I guess I’ve spent too much time with the phone,” he admitted. “I forgot how fun it is to actually move and play.”
That night, Sam decided to set limits on using the mobile phone. He played with his friends during the day, collected seeds, and climbed trees like he used to. He only looked at the phone for a short time before bedtime.
Soon, Sam felt strong and energetic again. His eyes stopped hurting, and he could run as fast as ever. Most importantly, he learned that no picture or game on the mobile phone could replace the joy of exploring the real world and spending time with friends.
From then on, Sam balanced his time and lived happily in the forest, proving that even the magic world of mobile phones couldn’t replace the magic of real life.
Moral of the story: Too much screen time can make us miss out on the fun and wonders of the real world. It’s important to balance our time and enjoy life outside the screen.
