Years after seeing my alma mater,
Medical college kolkata, beside the college square.
Under the rain soaked orange sunset,
Of turmoil and unrest.
The room beyond the emergency door,
Is as busy , and intense as before.
The white coats are quite familiar,
But the persons wearing , are all strangers.
Medical college hospital is the mighty kingdom,
That cannot be conquered, by any one.
Our time of ruling this vast empire,
Of sickness, life and death is over.
We the alumni,
Are like king #Ozymandias,
Who was once the king of kings,
But in time , nobody remembers him.
In the crevices of history, it’s just a name.
