Blurred edges murmur time’s hug,
A caught second, a recognizable face.
Delicate grins wait, frozen in light,
Reverberations of giggling in shadows of night.
Dust bits dance in the sun’s warm shine,
Stories unfurl in the tranquility they show.
A kid’s wide eyes, a darling’s delicate look,
Life’s temporary quintessence trapped in a fog.
The foundation a material, when energetic and strong,
Presently muffled like mysteries that recollections hold.
Each flaw and line tells stories of the past,
Of delight and of anguish, every second amassed.
As I follow the blueprints, the years float away,
I’m secured in recollections, no matter what.
However time might delete what we hold dear,
This photo murmurs, “You were here.”
