The commander of the RSF in Sudan has been removed; has explained the Sudanese army

There is no immediate declaration from RSF militants who have taken control of most of Sudan

The Sudanese army said on Sunday that a commander from his rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has been removed by some of his soldiers, in what will be the first such move by a high-level leader since the parties started fighting more than 18 months ago.

There is no immediate declaration from the RSF group that has taken control of a large part of the country in the conflict with the military where the United Nations says it has caused one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. Supporters of the army posted pictures online showing Abuagla Keikal, a former army officer who was the top RSF commander in

the southeastern state of El Gezira, after leaving the group. The army, which has recently reported success against the RSF in some areas of the capital, has said that Keikal has decided to take that step due to his old agenda of the force being damaged.

It did not elaborate and no information was released, published or on video from Keikal.
