In calm corners of the brain,
Reverberations wait, delicately laced,
Blurred photos, chuckling’s follow,
When dynamic hearts, presently a far off place.
We moved through seasons, inseparably,
Shared mysteries written in the sand,
However time, similar to tides, has pulled us separated,
Leaving shadows where when thump a heart.
A message left uninitiated, a call gone cold,
Stories untold, recollections unfurl,
Each quietness a gorge, each look a phantom,
Longing for minutes we love the most.
Yet, in the quiet, a glow actually shines,
In dreams we meet where the stream streams,
However ways have separated, and life continues on,
The bond remains, however the flash appears to be gone.
So here’s to the ties that still delicately tie,
To the murmurs of yesterday abandoned,
For affection’s not lost, recently changed, you see —
In the texture of life, you’re a string in me.
