लोग क्या कहेंगे इस बात पर हम

 कुछ यूँ उलझते जा रहे हैं।

दिल कुछ और करना चाहता है।

हम कुछ और ही करते जा रहे हैं।

सोचते हैं वक़्त बहुत है हमारे पास

इतनी भी क्या जल्दी पड़ी है

अभी औरों के हिसाब से चल लें

ख़ुद के लिए तो सारी उम्र पड़ी है।

दिल और दिमाग़ की इसी कश्मकश में

 ज़िन्दगी के पन्ने बड़ी रफ़्तार से पलटटे जा रहे हैं।

उतना तो हम जीए ही नहीं अभी तक

 जितना हम हर रोज़ बेवजह मरते जा रहे हैं।

We are getting confused about

 what people will say.

The heart wants to do something else.

We are doing something else.

We think that we have plenty of time,

why are we in such a hurry,

let us start acting according to others,

we have our whole life for ourselves.

In this struggle between the heart and the mind,

the pages of life are turning at a rapid pace.

We have not lived as much as

 we are dying every day without any reason.
