I was good student of my class. My class teacher has given me duty of managing my class if by chance some teacher is not able  to arrive in class because of some emergency academic duties.

Initially I found it difficult, because of this I used to feel uneasiness in stomach. I complained this to my grandmother. My granny said”my child you are  passing through challenging phase of mending your class. So anxiety is causing all this”

I was about 10 years old could not understand but now I am old and is handling so many responsibilities of family and academic front now I know how important it is for person to have high emotional quotient in life. Being a mother and teacher I try my best to inculcate high EQ among my children and students.

In order to do so I often ask my students to write essay how will you manage and help crowd in flood areas. What arrangements one should make for disaster management.

I distinctly remember I had a friend, her mother met with an accident therefore it was very difficult for my friend to manage domestic duties assigned to her.

My mother will give two packed lunch boxes to me, one for me and another for my friend. It was such a nice feeling for me and my mother.

Every Sunday my help child will come to me to be helped in mathematics. Very fondly I will help me for same.

Same way I will request bright students to help students who are academically lower in some subject. This activity made bridges among students. That brought harmony in my class room.Managing one’s emotions is critical in the game of life. Learning to manage those emotions starts at a very early young age and one should practice it through out one’s life.

Moral- To maintain high EQ in one’s personality one should practice empathy and gratitude very often, depending upon circumstances.
