    DAY-8

We were very tired. We did not want to go anywhere. But we had to go. This time we were going to Jodhpur which is around 320km from Sam Sand Dunes. Jodhpur is really a city of joy. Starting from our camp, we got our car stuck in sand. We were not able to take out the stuck car. After a lot of try, a local made our car out of the sand in just 2 minutes. Actually he was a jeep driver, so he was very experienced. After starting for our drive, we were able to see a lot of windmills. They were set up there because of the shortage of water in desert. So the generation of electricity would not be possible there, so they are set to produce electricity. Also in the camp, we were told to use the water more precisely. We used the Jaisalmer bypass and headed over to Jodhpur. It was really a very frustrating ride but an adventurous one. The highway built between Jaisalmer and Jodhpur was not even constructed properly. The roads were uneven and it was all single road. We could barely find any dhaba to even eat our meal. Moreover, the way was from between the jungle. It was really a very horrible ride. I recommend you all to start early morning from Jaisalmer or Sam Sand Dunes to avoid those horrible goosebumps. But when we reached Jodhpur, it was all lighting up. We were able to see the Jodhpur fort. There are too many places to visit too in Jodhpur. The hotel we stayed in Jodhpur was really a fantastic one and was located near the center of Jodhpur. We were easily able to find safe and basement parking for the cars. We just ate that delicious dinner and went to sleep. We were very excited to explore the city of Jodhpur.
