A new day.
Trees fresh from yesterday’s rains.
Earth looking calm.
Birds chirping cheerfully.
A small house comfy under the shade of a jamun tree.
Farms with young crops surrounding it.
Slow trickels of a river nearby.
Clucking of chickens from the poultry nearby.
That house housed a girl along with her younger sister and a parents.
Seems like a happy family in a fairytale.
But fairytales don’t come true.
And she may seem normal, as normal as everyone surrounding her, but no one experienced the world as gray as she felt.
It was the weekend at the end of the month.
She was visiting home from her boarding school. The school was alright I guess.
It was for rich posh kids which she wasn’t one.
It didn’t take long for her to understand she didn’t fit there.
