I am science teacher in government  school. One of our good student Shashi was teaching social science to secondary classes in our school.

She was very much interested  in learning classical #music. Some how this idea of Shashi learning #music at this stage of her life was very strange for her family. It so happened  Shashi was from #conservative family. Her grandmother who has every big say in running her family was of strong view if Shasi wants to learn some skill then best is she should join #stichinhg classes. According to her grandmother after marriage home maker can save lot of money and time by her #sewing skills. In other words she can #contribute a lot to her in- laws family. Some how Shashi was not ready for this.

Shashi said” madam I am not interested  in learning stiching/ cooking after attending  my school teaching  assignment. But my grandmother is very much in favour for same.”

I said “dear Shashi I have a friend Mrs Kapoor. She has just started taking fashion #designing classes for making garments, you can discuss with your grandmother at home if she agrees to this idea you can join those classesand get benefited .”

She discussed my advise at home. Her modern and intelligent  grandmother immediately agreed for my advise. Shashi joined fashion designing #classes and was very happy for same.

Once I happen to meet Shashi’s mother and grandmother in a party. They were of opimion that they want Shashi to get #married to suitable groom, then hopefully things will go in right direction for her.

I said “I partially #agree to your statements, but maa ji suitable groom can not #fix all Shashi’s problem. She must be equiped with #skills to solve her problems. Please help Shashi in becoming better person and building  her #career  .”

I as senior teacher was happy that Shashi’s family accepted my #advise.
