It has been a month that I came back from a 6 month (174 days to be precise) long visit to the US.
My sister has been living there since 2005 and it is the first time that I visited her in 19 years.
I was not alone. In fact the first time in 19 years, we were all there together as a family. My father, mother, sister, her husband, her kids and me for such a long time.
We were hosted at Sharon, near Boston, MA and had the chance to visit places around.
One of the mesmerising experiences I have had is the visit to Niagara Falls.
The feeling you get after being there and watching the waterfall is surreal. Who would have imagined that I could feel all alone amidst a crowd that could stamp me over in seconds.I guess that is the magic of the waterfalls.
The boat ride was something not to be missed. That moment when you are in the water and watching water everywhere around you and suddenly a splash of what you have been seeing hits you on your face, it is that moment when you realise why you are here.
However, something that surprisingly bowled me over was witnessing the changing colours during the night. The waterfall that looks serene, majestic and composed during the day seems stormy, colourful and chaotic during the night when the coolers change due to the lighting effect.
Reminding me that every thing and every person has different shades to them. And it depends on what time we are witnessing them that we get to see a particular shade.
I hope and pray that I get to watch this little miracle once more in life.
