the corners of my mind untouched by your shadows
croons of lingering hope from morning,
i float like a feather,
usually heavy with sighs, drowning in memories always persisting.
the mind open a world i haven’t touched in long,
a space that runs forever, a forever flowing sea,
the shoulds and oughts disappear like a butterfly,
a flutter of curtains, a whisper of dreams.
the weight of the world is more than it seems,
yet i reach for the light that blinds me,
nothing to fear, i embark in darkness where the courage evades.
the sound of birds are relentless and bold,
reminding me softly of the stories untold.
the freely floating laughter like water fountain,
in a life that felt heavy, today fear has no hold.
