In the vivacious city of Wobbleton, where everyone and everything appeared to be weightless, some man called Bert with the fashion sense of a vulture resided. One fine day, he woke up and said to himself, “I think it is time to renovate my closet.” He had some serious cash in his pocket and an attitude to match, and he made a beeline for the nearest shop in Wobbleton, which bore the name ‘Chic and Cheesy’.

Victor, the flamboyant owner of the shop, however, appreciated Bert’s eccentricity right away. “My good man! This needs to be sorted out without the inch of doubt inside you,” was the loud remark he made as he pulled Bert into a different section filled with strange clothes.

After hours of searching the tall racks, Bert came out wearing a bright green suit decorated with glittery pink dots with a yellow fedora perched on his head. “This is great!” he said while turning around to look at the mirror. Victor agreed with him but from his stare, one could tell that he was a little scared.

Bert felt as a star and therefore donned this new outfit to the yearly Wobbleton Festival. While walking along the street, people were shocked – not because they admired him, but because they were puzzled. “Is that a moving disco ball?” one woman asked in a whisper.

The most exciting part of the festival was when Bert, still in all his outrageous clothing, participated in the pie-eating contest. Utterly coated with blueberry pie and cream, he shouted, “This is the greatest fashion idea I’ve made yet!”

By the time daylight dimmed outside, the titles awarded one of the ‘Most Colorful People of Wobbleton’ belonged to Bert. When awarding him the title, he triumphantly waved his hands smeared with pie exclaiming, “Who thought that dressing up stylishly had to do with disorder and throwing pies around?”

And in that instant, Bert understood that self-assurance is not about wearing the latest trends – sometimes it is about enjoying the moment and getting your face messy with dessert.
