One sunny afternoon, Danny was playing with his favorite toy car in the park.
It was a bright red car with silver stripes, and he loved it more than any of his other toys. But while running around and playing with his friends, Danny left his car under a tree and forgot about it.
When he got home, Danny realized his car was missing. He felt sad and worried, not knowing where he left it.
The next day, he went back to the park to search for it. As he walked around, he saw a boy sitting under the tree, playing with the red car.
Danny felt upset at first, thinking, “That’s my car!”
But when he saw how much the other boy was enjoying it, he paused. He thought about how he had so many other toys at home, and maybe this boy didn’t have as many. So, instead of taking it back, Danny went over to the boy and smiled. “You can keep it,” he said.
The boy looked up with a huge grin and said, “Thank you so much!”Danny walked home that day feeling proud.
He realized that sharing and making someone else happy was even better than having the toy all to himself. Sometimes sharing what we love can make others happier and us even prouder.
