Russia’s defense ministry said 110 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in overnight attacks
Russian air defense shot down more than 100 Ukrainian drones on Sunday in Russia’s western regions, Moscow officials said as 17 people were injured in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih in a long-range missile attack.
Russia’s defense ministry said 110 drones were destroyed in overnight attacks against seven regions of Russia. Most of the attacks targeted the Russian border region of Kursk, where 43 drones were reportedly shot down.
Photos on social media appeared to show air defense on duty in the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region, near a factory that makes explosives. The governor of the region, Gleb Nikitin, wrote on social media today Sunday that four firemen were injured while extinguishing a drone attack in the industrial area of Dzerzhinsk, but did not give further details.
