In love for dogs, my heart with longing swells,
Yet fear of canines held my heart at bay.
No pet I own, their tales and barks and yells,
But Coco’s eyes did steal my fears away.
Beside a friend, through streets and lanes, we strayed,
In Coco’s gaze, pure love did brightly gleam.
From a small shed, her paws on stones she played,
Her playful spirit, like a lovely dream.
She spurned her shelter, followed by our side,
In her wild grace, a bond we did unfold.
Oh, Coco, in our hearts, you do reside,
A wish to meet again, our story told.
May she remember us as time does flow,
A fleeting moment, love’s sweet, gentle glow.
