In total isolation, lost and alone,
The mortal fate was made known.
I realized as each day slowly went by,
There were thousands of ways for one to die.
Yet, the pain to give me, which you had chosen,
A pain so profound, it left me frozen.
Neither alive nor dead, my body is in a liminal state,
A torment that refused to end, what an unbearable weight.
Buried alive, yet wide awake,
Boiled senses, a soul at stake.
My heart, a kettle, which you placed upon the flame,
Left to simmer, with no escape and no return to claim.
With you my dear, I accept defeat,
A heart once buried, now lost beneath.
