Today is Independence Day. India is a country where women are given the status of goddesses. “Goddess” is the feminine spirit who has power over every part of the world or nature. But just think for a second. I am asking each and every individual out there: Are we really giving her respect? Regardless of gender, are we, as individuals, thinking about society and culture? We are just selfish creatures living on that same powerful spirit, known as “Goddess Earth.” Our education and religious system are failing to improve people’s mental abilities; our aggression, ego, and destructive natures of each and every individual are causing harm to the goddess Earth. Thus, our goddess Earth is not safe. I and we, as women, are not safe on this globe. Not only the Indian constitution, but every man and woman must heal for the sake of the nation and humanity. If we are talking about unity, then I’m sorry; this is not unity, and this is not kindness. What does healing” mean? Healing is that courageous act when people try to help each other, be kind to each other, and accept flaws and personal choices. If you have the courage to accept our mistakes and use them to learn, heal, and nurture, then maybe women are safe. First, it should start with the women. Yes, women’s empowerment should be the act to remove such violence against women. I believe everyone is struggling here. Stop being jealous; have humility. There is no shame in having experienced any kind of trauma. To everyone who doesn’t believe in spirituality: spirituality implies a deeper connection with oneself, others, and the universe, which provides a huge sense of purpose, meaning, and values in life. If added to our daily routine, maybe it will impact the minds of the whole society. Spirituality can be the key to improving the situation in our nation. I hope you will share!!
Jai Hind!
