    Today was a little grey

    Yet again I felt away from those I cherished back in the day.

    Today was a little strange 

    To mingle with those who are now out of my range.

    Once connected the world with the thread of hope

    Now wanting to free myself from this choking rope.

    Lonely is a stranger in a world full of people

    Who wants to live life on their own

    But accompanied is a stranger

    Who walks through life with others unknown.

    My today is filled with confusion and haze

    With dire urge to surrender to this muddy phase 

    But something tells me to hang in there, to wait,

    To blindly trust this not so blind faith.

    To have a taste of both salty and sweet tears

    To celebrate life with innumerable cheers.

    Today I choose to be grey,

    To be unsure, to be baffled

    Because today I choose to be me.
