Day 2

Reaching Rajasthan now we had to discover the land

Day-2 was an another superb day. We went to Ajmer Sharif Dargah on that day but it was so much crowd there that we could not enjoy there. My Known was a friend of a person there who was in charge of V.I.P. Darshan. On reaching the Dargah, you will see a lot of people of barely dressed people who were selling their goods. We were told by the manager of the hotel Ajmer that we should not buy anything from them. He told that they will try to snatch our things. On reaching there, that’s what happened. They were forcing us to buy their goods. But we refused. On heading into the Dargah, we could see a small waterfall which was manmade and it looked very welcoming. On going further, we bought ourselves a shawl which we had to give to a Muslim inside the tomb who would do prayer for us. This is I think a good way of doing business. Just kidding. In front of entry inside the tomb, we could see people singing the kind of song that we hear in sufism. That was a Muslim song. We sat there for sometime after doing prayer in the tomb. After all this was completed, we headed to ‘Pushkar’. This town is known for its temple of ‘Brahma Ji’. It is said that this is the only temple of Brahma Ji in the whole world. I was very surprised to listen that. We could see a lake where it is considered that if you pour water on your body, all your wrong doings will be erased. Hmmmmm… that was a good to know stuff. I have also heard of the Pushkar fair which is put up every year. The market of Pushkar is a very small one. Inside the market, there was also a temple which we could not visit because of the timings of the temple. We just ate our lunch at around 5:30 pm. That sounds funny. It took us about 45 minutes to reach back to Ajmer. After that we just rested in the hotel. Again in the evening, we just headed out in Ajmer to showcase its beauty. We visited the ‘Anna Sagar Lake’. There was not much to do in Ajmer rather than seeing forts and temples.
