In the last 2 days, I’ve read so much about “WHY” Mukesh Ambani got Reliance into mango production. And I’m absolutely impressed and inspired! AA

It is the largest producer and exporter of mangoes in the world. But, most people don’t know much about it.

But, to explain it all, I would have to take you 10k days back, to 1997!

Around 1997, Reliance was already making varied textiles, yarns, chemicals and more in Gujarat’s Jamnagar.

And the Pollution Control Board had observed a consistent and considerable rise in air and water pollution levels in the region

Plus, Reliance was also about to commission its integrated refinery & petrochem complex in 1999. Thus, the pollution problems were going to worsen.

And that’s where came a genius idea!
