Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar Dies After Long illness

Goa Chief Minister and ex- Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar passes away after fighting Cancer for long. He had returned from US 3 after treatment for #Cancer a while back.

The #Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar fought pancreatic cancer for a year and passed away at his son’s home in #Panaji at age of 63.

The announcement was made in a tweet by President Ram Nath Kovind. The condolences regarding the same from people across the country. 

His complicated treatment for Cancer comprised of getting admitted in hospitals many times. He had got his treatment in Mumbai, Goa, Delhi and New York

The President, Prime Minister, Senior Leaders and Politicians have showed there heart felt pain for departure of a great leader that served Goa for around 2 decades.

#ManoharParrikar had simple way of living and could often be seen travelling on streets of Goa and meeting common citizens.

He had promised to serve Goa till his last breathe. He looked weak and frail in past few days. Even though he came up for presenting State Budget for Goa, his critical condition could be felt.

He is amongst the personalities who is respected by even the opposition members.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stated ”Goa BJP government was formed because of him. He also became defence minister. Again on party’s request, he became the Goa Chief Minister,”

He was a wise person, with lots of wits and hardwork, he was qualified from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and Loyola High School.

Higher authories could very well sense the condition of the Chief Minister of Goa, was showing no hope for improvements. Deputy Speaker and BJP leader Michael Lobo had already called a emergency meeting on Saturday and discussed the plan of action along with taking coalition in confidence regarding the situation

Congress meanwhile has started tries to prove majority in the state and gain power in the state.
