New Google Search Console Out of Beta: The Redesign and the New
The Google Search Console is your tool to get website indexed on Google. Today Google releases the new redesign for all it’s users, as it comes out of Beta.
The simple way to access the New Search Console is simply go to Google Search Console
Opening would show you the old school search console only, but you would see a new button next to help and the settings gear icon which shall say ‘use new Search Console’ and that is it you simply have to click it and you are good to go. Though till the time all features are not ported to newer console you would have to repeat the process each time you login.
Google has stated that the newer version may not show all the features at present though they would be made available really soon. Google has redesigned the Search Console with Material Design which was much awaited. Google has though made it with Material Design 1 rather than Material Design 2.0
The difference is not much but it was much expected taking into notice that Google just today released Material Design 2.0 for Chrome check it at Material Design 2.0: Happy Birthday Google Chrome Version 69
The newer version apart from looks has functionality improvements also. The newer one is much more organized the sidebar has been improved so that it can use the screen space efficiently. One great feature introduced is the ‘Live Test’
The new Feature can be used to see the live results about a page, you can use it through the search bar on the top of the page. It will give you variety of analysis. Also it would have some options really relevant these include request indexing also.
Another thing is manual action reports it would show you some reports about the urls rather than simply telling you the actions required, in short the manual actions page would be much more comprehensive.
One thing that seems missing is a newer icon for the search console the icon has been same for hell of time, and does not follow the Material Design, therefore it is much of a necessity, that Google makes new one.
