Google And MasterCard: Deal That Made Them Evil
Alphabet’s Google and MasterCard Inc. struck secret deal to provide Google with data of each card swipe. This comes after Project Maven and Google location tracking. Google used it to understand how many people click ads to simply go to retail store and buy stuff
Google has it’s tagline ‘don’t be evil’ and it is much of a irony, that such a company does things like that. Google has been encroaching over privacy and private data. Google recently admitted that it was collecting location data of people’s phones even if people opted out of it.
Besides this Google also few days ago had to abundant it’s project Maven which was a evil project that used AI for improving military equipment accuracy, and basically it was evil. Google has been becoming more and more evil with these things.
Okay you want to grow and want to have even more revenue with your advertisements. We our selves being running a website can tell that it can be really good if we get to know what type of ads people prefer. Same is the case with Mastercard and Google.
Google wanted to know which people clicked ads and then brought products from retailers itself thus hampering Google’s revenue prospects. But humanity is a thing, you cannot sacrifice it for the sake of humanity.
You had a tagline you had a believe for which people got attracted to you. More importantly they had faith on you. We all have all our data on our emails which is Google, and more importantly whenever we have to backup we use Google Drive, and whenever we have to reset password we use Gmail.
Imagine Google saying that it borrowed your signups to services via your email id, to understand popularity of different platforms in near future.
This might not be a big issue but if Google does not improve it can be worse. Please Google this can be start of your downfall
