Steve Jobs: History Repeats itself with Lisa

Reading Tims: 2 Mins

At that time Steve Jobs was living with Cristann Brennan who had been making fun stuff with him. They both enjoyed each other, and she loved his crazy attitude towards things. It was later that they starting going out together.

Brennan got a baby, and told that Steve was the father but Steve stated that he was not the only one with whom she was in bed, and therefore he refused to admit himself to be the father. Later as it turned out due to judicial works he had to accept it when he was found to be father in paternity test, and provide his daughter Lisa Brennan Jobs some compensations including some monthly payments.

Later on… while building a #Apple PC that would be his own he named it Lisa. To remember his daughter. #Lisa was a step in right direction.

#SteveJobs always had some vacuum between himself and his daughter, even though he understood his responsibility.

#LisaBrennan Jobs later in her life wrote a book regarding her relationship with his biological father- Steve Jobs. In her book she told that she had to ping pong between his father and his mother’s home.

Here we get to know about the character of Steve Jobs also. She states that Steve Jobs home was mostly empty.

In one example, Ms Brennan-Jobs explained how her father had simulated sex acts on her stepmother, Laurene Powell Jobs, in front of  when she was just a child.

An excerpt shows it “pulling her in to a kiss, moving his hand closer to her breasts” and “moaning theatrically”. She disapprived it.

From her father, she’s handed bits and pieces of the evidence of his love — roller skating, Wednesday nights of movies and carrot salad.

To some, what her daughter has shown is an unfair portrayal of Steve Jobs — as his widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, and his sister, Mona Simpson, assert in a joint statement saying that “Steve loved Lisa, and he regretted that he was not the father he should have been during her early childhood.

Steve Jobs was a perfectionist, he had a wierd personality, but there are things that he was great at. His brutal honesty is one of them. He might be trying to inculcate them in her.

When Steve Jobs told his daughter Lisa Brennan-Jobs that the Apple Lisa computer was not named after her, it was not a cruel lie to a little girl, she insists — he was teaching her “not to ride on his coattails.”

When Steve refused to install heat in her bedroom,  he was instilling in her a “value system.” When a dying Steve Jobs later told Ms. Brennan-Jobs that she smelled “like a toilet,” it was not a hateful snipe, she maintains — he was merely showing her “honesty.”
