Apple has been given the title of most respected company in the world for 12 years. And 12 years being in a row without a break. This was given by Fortune’s Rankings of Worlds most Admired Companies. Amazon finished 2nd for the 3rd time in a row
Fortune Releases this list annually and more importantly, this has world’s top 1500 companies as candidates. The basis of determination is information collected by Security Analysts, Directors etc. Apple has topped the list in each and every category in this year. Amazon ranked 2nd. We should remember that Apple was the first company to gain a $1 Trillion evaluation and Amazon also later achieved this land mark. Amazon is the second most admired company is the world for that list.
The list for the top 10 went with Apple, Amazon, Berkshire Hathway, Walt Disney, Starbucks, Microsoft, Alphabet, Netflix, Jp Morgan chase, Fedex in the same order.
The survey also asked people about there executives. And in case of Apple, 79 people called #Apple ’s #CEO underated and 183 people called #TimCook over rated. This was a really interesting statistic.
Apple has topped the charts despite there less profits, slow sales and lesser demand for iPhone and trouble for China. But still Apple is the no. 1 in categories such as innovation, quality of management, social responsibility, use of corporate assets, financial soundness, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness.
They chose from a list made up of the companies that ranked in the top 25% in last year’s surveys, plus those that finished in the top 20% of their industry. Anyone could vote for any company in any industry.
This was a anonymous and unbiased survey. And this gives Apple a dozen Years of Admiration consistently. 12 years means it was time even before the first #iPhone or the first #iPad or even #Macbook Air. It was a time when the only great product Apple was selling was the #iPod . But it was the #great work of #SteveJobs that took them from no where to great heights.
