Deepika Padukone has recently opened up about her pregnancy with daughter Dua, revealing that she experienced a "complicated pregnancy" and "went through a lot" during those eight to nine months, including the delivery.
In an interview, she mentioned that the final trimester was particularly uncomfortable, with unexpected body aches, including significant rib pain. Despite these challenges, she continued to practice yoga.

Deepika and her husband, Ranveer Singh, welcomed their daughter Dua in September 2024 and revealed her name in November. The name "Dua" means "prayer," which they felt beautifully summarized what their daughter means to them as the answer to their prayers.
Ranveer Singh also shared that since Dua's arrival, Deepika's focus has entirely shifted to their daughter, sometimes even prioritizing Dua's needs over her own health. Deepika acknowledged that balancing her career, health, and new motherhood responsibilities is a learning process.
