Life doesn't go as we expect or want. Everyone will agree with me on this. Most of us heard as child that if you work hard, you will get what you want, but is that true? NO I believe everything happens for a reason, so when things do not go as you wanted, learn how to work with the things as it is. If you read self-development books, then you probably read "Do not give up" paragraphs more than once, and I will ask the same questions again.. Is that true? and my answer is the same. No, giving up sometimes is the first step to success in your life, but if you keep going around in circles, you will just end up tired. when God gives you choices that you do not want and can not change, learn how to love them and get the best out of them.
