I have been travelling since my younger days a lot during the summer vacations with family or with friends on a school trip to various places but never had this thought to travel alone.
With the start of my career, I dreamt of doing a lot of things independently that includes solo travelling. I started my solo travel in the year 2019 with a trip to Goa on my cousin's wedding. Although I wouldn't say this first trip to be completely solo as the hotel arrangements were already done because of the wedding however, the only thing I did independently was to book my flights and hiring the cab from the airport to the hotel.

I was a bit scared also at first when I reach Goa airport as to how to reach the hotel. And if I get the right cab that will drive me safe to the hotel. I checked with my cousin first to guide me with the direction to the hotel so that they provide me the appropriate information of how to hire a cab. Fortunately, I got a good cab driver who seems to be very honest and made me quite comfortable too.
But one thing I want to share that its our alertness and mindfulness also that matters the most while travelling. I believe everybody must have been nervous during their first trip alone and that sounds perfectly fine. Nobody learns everything by birth. They need to experience the things first by trying new things they want to try else they won't be able understand what they need to achieve.
I love my first trip to Goa and afterwards, I made it a point to travel alone atleast once a year. Traveling alone makes you rejuvenated and energized for your next level up in life.
