Happily ever after part 3

During dinner they sat opposite to each other. Now she also started feeling a little attracted towards him. But she wanted to tread carefully afterall he was famous in college with a lengthy fan following. She didn't want to get hurt and more than that she didn't want to get distracted from her studies. Next day was quiz dance singing competition etc and post that they started back for their city. They reached the wee hours of the morning. Her house was on the way to his uncle's house. So he opted to drop her home. Her parents were eagerly waiting for their daughter. Seeing her coming with a boy, didn't go well with them. However he greeted them touched their feet and left. She then told them that he is a senior and a brilliant topper.

Post year break, college started again. They would see each other in the cafeteria, sometimes he would come to her class on the pretext of meeting someone else, they would steal valuable immemorial glances. Given that there were no mobiles internet etc these small golden moments were enough for both of them to keep going. Both of them ensured that this sweet attraction didn't affect their studies. Even the air in the college had no idea that these two were in love, probably even they both didn't know that they had strong feeling for each other.

Now he was in final year final semester , he had to get serious about his career, his life. He was getting drained thinking about job thinking about her. He thought let me tackle one thing at a time. He started applying for jobs and given that he was a brilliant manifestor, a person who was wished well by the Gods themselves, he secured a good position in one of the top companies. The pay was good and the best part, it was just 3 hours away from her city.

She was the first person whom he called and updated about his job.

She had mixed feelings - happy that he got a job and sad that she won't be able to see him anymore.

She had no idea that she used to play a very important role in his decision making. He didn't want to lose her, he wanted to tell her everything, but he was scared that he might distract his intelligent soulmate.

He was in dilemma as he really wanted to speak his heart out to her.

He could not talk to anyone about this as well.

He had sleepless nights but he gathered himself, i will think about this after mine and her exams.

Both of them write their exams brilliantly.

Now came the moment which both were dreading, the farewell night, the last day of college for him, the last day when she would see him.

Her class had prepared a dance and she was part of it. He was in the crowd eyes glued on her

Their eyes met, she had a lump in her throat, both of them had moist eyes covered with fake smiles. She couldn't control and post performance went out of the hall. He followed her and there in the dusk of the night, in light moonlight, he asked her to sit.

It felt the perfect moment to confess his feelings for her.

He told her" I am obsessed with you. I have got used to seeing you daily, i want to see this beautiful smile everyday . I love you from the bottom of my heart and want to be with you in this and all the future births. I am ready to talk to our parents when the time would be right".

She was dumbstruck, she didn't utter a word, each and every word from his mouth sounded like a pearl, like waves of the ocean, like a pleasant music which she didn't want to stop.

She didn't move, she didn't deny she just sat there looking into his eyes. She wanted him to pinch her as it all felt like a fairy tale dream, too real to be true.

Then he said, he would be in town for another two days and he would like to take her out on a drive the next day. If she comes he would think that his feelings are reciprocated. Otherwise he will just go and not contact her again. He told her timing and location where he would pick her up. She a girl just 20 years of age, he was her first crush, and she an average looking girl was getting her love story coming true without an iota of pain, heart break, she couldn't believe it. He wanted to hold her hand but being in college premises he didn't. Just then her friend called and she left.

He had the most sleepless night ever, what if she says no, also what if she says yes. He would have to come up with excuses to meet her, talk to her etc

It was the longest night of his life and hers too.

She didn't sleep either. She couldn't tell this anyone not even to her best friend.

She came home, her mother asked if she was feeling unwell. She told just headache and went to her room.

She was overjoyed and scared both. She wanted to go with him, talk to him, spend these precious moments with him. But was scared as she would have to lie to her parents. She was tossing the whole night.

She wanted to take a chance, her heart started to dance. She told her mother that few seniors both boys and girls wanted to go for shopping and they had requested for few juniors to come along.

She wore her favourite dress, her face had that inner glow and she started walking to the agreed location. There he was waiting in his car, sweating profusely. His face eyes beamed with happiness on seeing her.

She sat in the car, exchanged few glances, he put on nice romantic songs .

He saw a roadside tea shop and he stopped. It was quite away from the hustle bustle of the city and was not crowded. He and she went and sat away from the stall while sipping tea in that magical silence where their hearts were talking.

This time she started talking, .

She asked him why me? I am a very normal girl not that attractive, you are tall dark handsome so many girls swoon over you. He got little agitated and said you need to get yours eyes checked. In my eyes I see a pretty girl cute one, good human being inside out, who makes me happy, we enjoy each other's company, we complete each other, we are lucky for each other, we encourage each other. I love this cute little girl who is sitting in front of me. I have planned our whole life together. Saying this he held her hand, she was happily shy. She wanted him to hold her close but due to social norms she wanted to act .

As if he heard her, he sat very close to her, they could hear each other's heart beat. Eyes were talking, ears were listening. Not sure how long they sat like this, it felt heavenly and they wanted time to freeze.

He then told his plan, how often he would come to the city given his uncle was here. He would call her. He had created her email address. They would correspond using phone and mails whenever possible. It was not going to be easy.

It was getting late for her, with eyes full of tears and a heavy heart that let go of each other's hands and he dropped her home.
