Happily ever after part 1:
She was his junior. She was cute but not pretty enough to catch anyone's prime attention. She was very fine with that since her main intention was to score good marks, get a decent job and rest all would follow later .
One year passed by and because she was the topper, others started realising her presence. Her professors were immensely proud of her. She was a well behaved , obedient and disciplined student. All these qualities were rarely seen especially in colleges.
She was very highly spoken about in the staff room and in random discussions between teachers and other students.
He heard about her from one of the senior professors. He himself was the topper but he was the trouble maker. Challenging the text in books, cross questioning professors although with humour were his favourite activities in class. He was brilliant , topper and tall, dark and handsome. His batchmates, juniors and well a few teachers had a crush on him . He was very much aware of this.
Now came the college annual day celebration where an organizing committee had to be formed. He obviously was the choice to head the committee and oversee all the activities etc. One of the professors reached out to her to be a member as well. She was least interested but succumbed to the pressure.
Assumed as a bookworm, she was assigned for orchestrating the quiz related activities.
It was considered a boring activity when compared to dancing, singing, drama etc
She single handedly came up with trivia.
Now came the difficult task where she had to get it reviewed and seek his approval.
With trembling hands and shivering lips she called him and handed over the questions to him .
She thought he would mock her, on the contrary he was impressed with her independent work .
There was an innocent innocence in her eyes, honest honesty in her work. He grew eager to get more insight about her.
He had to be careful though as he did not want others to know.
He appreciated her work, and then mentioned that they would have to modify the format a little. They would have to work on it together.
He requested her to stay after classes so they could brainstorm.
She hesitated but then agreed as she felt comfortable around him. She didn't feel anything else though.
She was amazed seeing his intelligent brain at work.
She was impressed seeing his hands writing beautifully.
She was drawn towards his down to Earth attitude.
She wanted to look up to him as a role model .
He was mesmerized by her simplicity.
He was getting drawn to her intelligence like bees to honey.
He wanted to spend more time with her , talk about her, know her.
He knew he had a crush on her which he could not tell any another.
They finished the quiz questions.
Post that each and every day
He used to try hard to get a glimpse of her
She was aloof, she didn't know.
Annual day got over and it was time for a break for few weeks. He was upset as he would not be able to see her, hear her sweet voice. Looks like the Good Gods were listening to him.
One of the outstation colleges had arranged for an inter college competition.
Ten students from each college were to participate.
He was praying and trying hard to somehow get her onboard.
Again the Gods were very happy with him, she was selected to participate in quiz and Dum charades. He and she both in the same team.
They spent few days together to practice and come with plan of action etc. She used to dodge all personal questions politely. He was getting a little impatient as he wanted to know more about her from her.
During the travel to another city for the event, he wanted her to sit next to him in bus. But one of the other girls came and sat next to him. She was sitting next to another girl. They both were talking, giggling, her eyes sparkled while telling some story etc. He was glued.
He knew he had to tread slowly like walking silently on dry leaves.
There was a night rock music concert arranged by the host college in the auditorium. She couldn't stand it for more than few minutes and post approval from mam, she came out and sat alone on the bench. She didn't have the keys to go to her room in the dormitory. He saw this and making an excuse he too came out. The moon light falling on her face, her hair shining like stars, a faint smile on her face - he felt drawn to her.
He sat next to her , checked if she was fine. She complained of loud noise inside and headache.
He asked if he could help in anyway and she sheepishly asked for a cup of tea. His heart was smiling from left chamber till right chamber.
He thanked God and his stars for this opportunity. It was as if he was the master of manifestation.
