This poem depicts the girl who has yet to accept a fact. This time the battle time has won, leaving her shattered and alone to deal with her problem amidst the chaos, depriving her of a safe place she called home. What shattered her, to find out? Read the poem.
I smiled and happily arrived.
Eager to see the surprised look,
To give and receive pampering,
I whispered, No response.'
Murmurings only I can hear
I called again and heard it with the same intensity.
I screamed this time and again heard the same,
Responses should have made me happy, but they didn't.
Only to realise the warmth of the bubble was long gone,
Only to come to a realisation,
That it's time for acceptance,
The lovely voices to respond are now absent.
The love that hugged me, the smile that welcomed me, now all gone,
The silence screams the reality.
The response that I heard,
Were nothing but the echoes of my desperate calls,
The loving replies of my people,
now a beautiful memory.
Once a safe space, my heaven,
Now a mirror that screams loneliness and agony.
Thankyou for reading.
