Prologue

I perceived a remarkable chemistry between us, leading me to believe you were the embodiment of perfection. However, it turns out that belief was unfounded.
Chapter 1
Once upon a time, there was a girl who despised her life. She felt a deep sense of meaninglessness and found solace only in the act of simply existing. Along her path, she encountered a young man whose eyes bore a mixture of sorrow and resilience. Although he carried the weight of past trauma within him, he guarded it fiercely, revealing nothing to the world. When their paths crossed, they discovered a mutual emptiness that connected them.
Chapter 2
One day, as the guy caught sight of her, he instinctively sensed the profound emptiness that resided within her. Similarly, the girl gazed into his eyes and recognized the weight of sadness concealed behind his facade. In that moment, they both realized that they shared a common bond. From that point on, they became companions, bound together not in the way one might expect, but as friends. They found solace in each other's company. The girl entrusted her emptiness to him, and the guy stood strong for her, as he always had, offering a patient ear. She spoke and spoke, pouring out her emotions, while he attentively listened, providing her with the space to release her burdens.
Chapter 3
During sleepless nights, she found comfort in the presence of someone who remained faithfully by her side; he was always there for her. The girl felt a profound sense of joy as she finally discovered someone she could wholeheartedly rely on, someone who truly understood her. Having been alone throughout her life, she considered herself incredibly fortunate and deeply grateful for his presence. She believed that when they were together, she could be her authentic self, and she saw them as a perfect match destined to be together. She yearned to stand beside him and longed to fill the void within him, hoping to be the source of light that would dissipate the heaviness reflected in his eyes. Her desire was to bring him sunshine, hoping to alleviate his burdens and sorrow. However, little did she know that reality might hold a different path for them.
Chapter 4
As time passed, the guy changed. Yes, he changed. He no longer had time for her, rarely spoke to her, and shut her out completely. Unaware of what had happened, the girl grew worried and didn't know what to do. If only he had been honest, if only he had told her that he was in love with someone else, if only he had made it clear that their relationship was only as friends. If only he hadn't given her false hope, then she could have prepared herself and not held high expectations for him. Maybe then, she would have felt a little less hurt. Have you ever liked someone so much that you prayed to forget them? Yes, that's exactly how she felt. She felt abandoned once again, experiencing pain, brokenness, and a deep sense of being lost.
Chapter 5
At one point in her life, she experienced the beautiful feelings of being loved, understood, and safe. She believed she had finally found someone she could truly rely on, but everything vanished in an instant, like a fleeting moment. She despised herself, placing the blame squarely on her own shoulders, convinced that she could have done better and tried harder. The weight of self-criticism consumed her, as she believed she had fallen short of her own expectations. Suddenly, she felt lost, returning to her lonely world once again. She once believed in fairy tales, where a knight in shining armor would come to her rescue and bring a happy ending with "happily ever after." However, her belief in such things faded away. There were no fairy tales, no happy endings, and no knight in shining armor to save her. "Happily ever after" was nothing more than a dream, a complete illusion. And that’s how it ended, as it always seemed to do.
