Doing anything too much can have a negative impact on our health. It affects both our personal and professional lives.
Now you might wonder why it is so hard.
When we want something so bad, be that a thing, a job, a person, anything. It is harder to control our urges because somehow we start to think that the more we engage ourselves in it, the faster we get it.
But this never happens. Instead, we become obsessive.
In the end, when we don’t get it we fall into despair.
The reason why we don’t get it is because focusing all our energy on a single thing will eventually tire us out. After a certain point we won’t be able to think clearly, and we will get frustrated with ourselves.
And when we don’t get it, we finally open our eyes and realize that other aspects of our lives are also gone.
Because we were so focused on that particular thing we forgot to pay attention to the things that were truly important.
Now you can’t just suddenly start to take it easy.
You have to start practicing it from the start. Remind yourself every day that you have time, it’s not going anywhere.
Everything in this world has its own pace. You need to understand this and follow it accordingly.
