On good days, we all follow a moral compass. Things we would do and things we would never do. The line that separates both of these couldn’t be more clearer to us.

But on bad days that line between dos and don’ts gets hazy. Because in those days all we want is to survive. Just get through those days with our sanity intact.

It is easy to talk about being good, doing good and thinking good when we have everything. But if we are robbed of everything, how many of us do you think can still hold onto the good?

    Not many.

Only a few maybe. And those people are really special.

These people don’t let their circumstances dull their views about right and wrong. They hold onto it until their last breath. It is also true that these people endure a lot of pain because of their resilient mindset.

In this corrupted world, everything around these people is trying to corrupt them. Wants these people to become a part of that corruption and when they refuse, they and their loved ones have to pay the high price of being good.

Which is so wrong but even after knowing, we can’t do anything about it.But these are only a chosen few.

Now what about the rest of us?

We fold. We do something we never thought we would do, we say something that we never said before and be someone that we can’t recognize when looking in the mirror.

And how do we justify this action?

We say circumstances are the root of this.

While I think the answer is true.

My concern is not with the fact that you fold. But with the fact that you pretended to uphold the good, knowing deep down you can’t hold onto it when time gets hard for you.

This action of yours not only makes you a hypocrite but also a person who cannot be trusted.

There is nothing wrong with agreeing with the bad. For example, what you are doing, thinking this is right may be wrong in someone else’s eyes. And what you always thought was wrong may be right for everyone else.

These types of situations occur a lot.

After all what is good and what is bad depends on an individual’s viewpoint. So it’s only natural if your viewpoint about right and wrong might not align with others.

My advice is don’t jump around the line throughout your life. Because in that way you are lying to yourself. Refusing to accept your true self.

Which I think is the biggest sin.

Thank you for staying until the end!
