A few years ago, I wrote this poem, and reading it now, I couldn’t help but laugh. It feels completely different from the way I write today. Back then, my thoughts were simpler, my words more spontaneous.
Looking at it now, I realize how much we change over time—how our perspectives shift, how our expressions evolve. Just like nature, we go through different phases, never staying the same. And that’s the beauty of it. Change isn’t just inevitable; it’s the rule of life.

Right now, as I watch the sun,
I recall the days of endless fun—
Times when I was never alone,
Memories that never turned to stone.
I saw a butterfly, small and bright,
Its flight always filled me with delight.
Floating freely in the sky,
A simple joy I can’t deny.
I saw a bird, soaring high,
Always moving with the sky.
Its wings flapped bold and bright,
Riding winds with perfect might.
I saw a cat, first full of fear,
Hunched and wary as I drew near.
But with time, it came to stay,
Purring soft in its own way.
I once grabbed a snake by chance,
It met my gaze with a sharp glance.
"Let me go," it seemed to say,
I laughed but let it slip away.
I never saw a zebra roam,
Just thought of it—a horse unknown.
Nature’s wonders, big and small,
Always held me in their thrall.
The forest is my sacred place,
Open arms and calm embrace.
With every sound, with every roar,
It welcomes me forevermore.
Looking back at this piece, I see more than just words—I see a version of myself that once was. It’s a reminder that growth is constant, that change is natural. And just like nature, we must embrace every season of life, knowing that each phase has its own beauty.
