Hello, thank you for taking the time to view my article. It’s lovely to have you here! Let’s get started.

I have always been very curious on how do our thoughts shape up and if this process is ever evolving or a sudden aspect, is it this process of evolution similar or is it different for everyone. As I tried to explore and understand around these aspects, some of the following factors stood out for me, that could impact the way our thoughts might have evolved:

    1. Childhood memories-I feel the way we start perceiving and experiencing things since childhood plays a very important role in the manner our thoughts evolve over a period of time. We all have different memories in our respective formative years and they could play a major role in the way our initial perceptions and thoughts might shape up in the years to come.

    2. Personalized life experiences-Post our formative years, when we enter the phase of teenage hood, we might start to gradually develop different points of view based on our subjective and personalized life experiences and the way we might have observed the things taking place around us and in our natural environment. This is very different for everyone based on their own individual journeys. The interesting thing here is that when we become a young adult, we could also start noticing a further shift or change in the way we might think about an aspect, this will also reflect in the way we deal with a situation, and  take decisions with regards to the same.

    3. Social support-I feel there is some degree of impact on our thoughts with regards to the social aspects too. We all live in different kinds of social setups. Some people might be living in a nuclear family setup while some would be living in a joint/big family setup. Our interaction with our social environment could play a pivotal role in the way we might perceive and observe things (gradual shaping up of thoughts). An interesting thing to note here is that for some people these setups might change throughout their life journeys. For instance-someone who grew up in a nuclear setup can later on be a part of the joint/big family setup and vice-versa. Hence, I feel the degree of social support as well as any further changes to the same can impact the way our thoughts gradually evolve.

    4. Daily schedule-Our daily lives are governed by the activities that generally take place on a regular basis. I feel the kind of tasks that we do on a daily basis can also determine the way our thoughts might shape up. If we are more towards a hectic schedule with very little scope for relaxation then we might feel some degree of burnout and that can impact our thoughts as well. On the other hand, if we are able to devote some time to our relaxation then we can have more thoughts on the positive side (as by relaxing we get some time to pause and recharge our energy). If we can allocate some amount of time to self-care, this could play a crucial role in the way thoughts occur to us and through this we can also positively reinforce some things which might act as a major motivator for us.

I feel the occurrence of thought is both an automatic as well as a gradual process. Sometimes our mind can just begin telling us different stories and those stories can channelize our focus in various ways and directions. Thoughts and their evolution is in itself a very comprehensive process and multiple factors could play a crucial role in which they shape up over a period of time. The occurrence of thoughts is influenced by both (subconscious as well as conscious mind). The interesting thing here is that although there is no one origin from where these thoughts might start occurring, but the efforts made by us can surely help to minimize the occurrence of the thoughts that might be bothering us. Hence, I feel that the evolution of thoughts co-exists with the combination of the automatic processing (based on our personalized life journeys and natural conditioning), in addition to our own individual efforts in practice based on our degree of self-awareness as well as the identified thought patterns.

Thank you so much for your time. I will catch up soon and, in the meantime, wishing you a very pleasant day ahead!
